Waiting for 2010 #144: Photos: Pearl Jam, 10/1/2009

Once again, here are a dozen more snapshots from the October 1st, 2009, Pearl Jam show at the Gibson Amphitheatre:

When organist/keyboard player Boom Gaspar hit the stage, virtually everyone cheered (as usual), "BOOOOMMMM!!!"

Pretending to hear jeers, frontman Eddie Vedder responded to the audience: "What? Was it something I said? Well, fuck you, then!"

A mixture of laughter and applause ensued.  Good times.

A string section came out for the first encore, or as I like to call it, the second set.  Eddie Vedder and the string section played the fast-paced song "Lukin"...without rehearsing it (or so Ed said).

Then Ben Harper came back to jam with Pearl Jam on "Red Mosquito."

Tomorrow, I'll post what will probably be our last set of Pearl Jam concert snapshots.  In any case, please check out the brand-new DeRamos.org Webcomic, which will probably take over this blog.
