Waiting for 2010 #110: Disney/Marvel vs. WB/DC

I heard the news that Disney is going to buy Marvel Comics early sometime yesterday, but I just recently (as of about five minutes ago) remembered that Warner Brothers owns the DC franchise. Anyhow, this new Disney-Marvel combination could mean a lot of silly possibilities:

1. A sequel to Who Framed Roger Rabbit? could involve not only Mickey & co., and Bugs & co., but also Superman & co., and Spider-man & co. Word, and weird.

2. Iron Man and GizmoDuck are now best friends. Batman (DC) and Darkwing Duck, however, remain rivals.

3. Beast (Hank McCoy) could hang out with The Beast at his library, or they could fight (as was suggested by Michael Castellanos on my Facebook status update).

4. Donald Duck and The Hulk can join an anger management group together.

5. Wolverine + Goofy = The New New New Odd Couple. (Both have incredible healing factor powers, though.)

6. Gambit could hang out at New Orleans Square in Disneyland. That would actually be awesome.

7. Namor the Sub-Mariner + Ariel the Little Mermaid = NSFW.

8. Another friend on Facebook imagined an extra combination to Disney and Marvel: The Capcom (i.e., Street Fighter) characters. We might as well add SquareSoft to this collusion and have ourselves a new video game with a two word title: Kingdom Hadouken.

9. Mary Poppins is a mutant.

10. Thor and Hercules meet again, for the first time.

That's all for tonight...folks. (Wait, a variation on Porky's catchphrase isn't very appropriate here!)
